Entitled: The Call (Frame Not Included)

Story: A surreal face adorned with symbols of nature and the cosmos.

Medium: Colour Pencil

Size: 12 x 9 inches

Substrate: Paper

packaged and secured for postage

Welcome to the website , my name is Beatrice Ajayi. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my art with you. May it be a moment of joy in your day or a place of creative inspiration for you.

My art explores narratives through visual storytelling, though sometimes the words hover just out of reach. In those instances I can only express myself through the dripping of paint or the splash of colour.

My themes are of innocence, a childhood place of adventure, freedom and a love for nature. My hero’s are from different worlds on the periphery of existence. My collections are complete in their bravery boldness and courage. They are ecosystems that treat others with grace by sharing their spaces. Inviting you in to belong.

Evoking emotions of our past, reminding us that we can sometimes be lonely but community is just fingertips away. So reach out. Be part of their world. They are home, they are a resting place.

A place of healing and renewed strength.

Have the best day. B

Beatrice’s artwork evokes the freedom of expression that entwines an endless supply of her Nigerian and her Scottish heritage in her creative narrative. Her paintings whether Abstract or subject-focused have a sense of special places imagined and otherness.

Artist, Beatrice Ajayi was born in Glasgow, Scotland and grew up in Linlithgow, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots.

She completed an Art Foundation course at Croydon College in Surrey (2001) and went on to do a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, finishing in 2004.

Her work has been exhibited across the UK, and has been purchased by a number of private collectors.
