Hi folks, welcome to the October blog. How are you all doing?
I am doing alright. I have been a busy bee this month. I think out of the whole year I have challenged myself personally the most in this month.
I started my ‘Daily Art Studio Vlogs on my YouTube channel link here Bea Creative TV.
The daily vlogs began because I wanted to cut down my editing time. I am still wondering if that is the case. I will revisit this down the line. I have given myself till the end of the year (2026) to see if it is easier.
Another reason for my new daily YouTube series is to bring you in even more to my art studio. Show you my thought process and actual art practice.
It can be easy to think some are coordinated and strategic in every decision they make, as I share my art studio with you daily, you will realise that it is only half true. Sometimes I am basically feeling my way through some things.
I wanted to share more on my website and available artwork and practice my taking more comfortably on camera. A lot is being covered by my Daily art vlogs.
I want to utilise the various platforms and figure out how they can work for me as a business. I am using a similar approach on my TikTok channel link here TikTok.
I also had my market with Barclays Bank Headquarters in Glasgow for Black History Month. It was my second time doing the market.
It wasn’t as successful as the first time I did it. But I did have sales and meet the public. It was seen as a marketing opportunity for me. I also didn’t have to pay for the stall/ table.
All my products that didn’t sell will be used to restock my shops in Glasgow and Edinburgh Scottish Design Exchange for the coming Christmas season.
Currently as I am writing this vlog. It’s a Saturday and my feet are up under a cosy fluffy throw.
I started writing this blog thinking I didn’t have anything to write about. I was wrong. I hope I hold fast to the fact that I do have things to share in my blogs going forward.
I will set my expectations and yours at one blog here a month.
