Christmas Craft Fair – Ifull Coffee

cards-ifull-i

I decided to upload some images of handmade cards I have created for an up and coming craft fair in November. It is a Christmas fair at Ifull Coffee, a cafe based in Glasgow. You can find out more about the Cafe here. These designs are abstract, not the usual christmas designs. My idea is to focus more on the textured colours of the season. They are 3Dimensional and very detailed close up.

Artist of the Week – Dan May

Hi everyone, Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was quiet busy, but all good fun time relaxing and creating art. My artist for this week is Dan May. You can link to his website here. Dan works on his surreal paintings using oils. He has really mastered his technique and style. He paints strange little fairytale like characters he created. He also paints figurative narratives emersed in sublime worlds with unique yet almost recognisable surroundings. I like his skill with oils. Link to his site and explore.

Artist of the week – Amy Sol

My artist for this week is Amy Sol. You can find her website link here. She is another amazingly talented artist. I love the soft tints of her colours. Her work is impressive, it has alot of unique characters displayed from one painting to the next. She is so interesting because she also mixes her own colour pigments, she also lets the wood grain she paints on to play a part in the work, very kool.

I recently put these two pieces in the Line Gallery exhibition for March 2010. This is just to say they have been sold. The same lady bought both of them. So ‘Slippery Twins’ and ‘Crocs New Ribbon’ have found a new home.
