Art is Like Cake | New on my Youtube Channel | Beatrice Ajayi | Artist Introduction | Blog

Weekly Artist Art Vlog no.19 | Art is Like Cake | Artist Studio Practice | Artwork | #youtube

Hi and welcome to my website Blog .

If you have not been here on my  site before, hello, it’s awesome to meet you.

My name is Beatrice Ajayi. I am an artist, creative, illustrator and published author. I love to use a range of mediums in my artwork.

You will find me working on a range of pieces both digitally and traditionally.

In this video today I am – sharing my latest thoughts and perceptions on myself and my art, an introspective if you will. I have decide my new working title is ‘Multidisciplinary Artist’. I have used this as a job desk in the past and my biography language. But I have realised more and more that it is a more true title of my approach as an artist.

I am currently in the process of decluttering my studio ( a constant issue) I am trying to reimagine art and products I created years ago and asking if they have a place in my life.

This has led to my discussion in the video I have for you today. i am conscious of the pressure to give my best, I therefore am trying to make sure i am feeding my creative tank with new inspiration and have decided on a path to follow. The path of eating as much came as possible ( or to paraphrase, to create as much art as I am inspired to, through the process of storytelling)

As a creative and maker being able to generate work that you love and can elate others needs some investment and i want to be able to bring that into my process. I use a lot of processes. I try out something and if it doesn’t work I reimagine it and give it new life. Thank you for reading this far if you have. Please do subscribe, so that more people can see these videos and we can all feed our creativity together through our interactions.

Art for Today-Video Time Lapse

Video Timelapse

Timelapse of Verity

Hi everyone, I have to begin with an apology because I have neglected my website of late, due to my time creating. I intend to change that. I am currently writing out a schedule to keep me right.

I decided this year I would focus mainly in physical painting more than my digital work. It has been a challenge working with my current medium. I can be impatient while waiting for paint to dry. I have been using water soluble oils. These tend to dry faster and give the layering effect I have tried to use with regards to acrylics. Technically you can layer with acrylics but I didn’t get there. I may go back as my skills improve.

This is the cute Ballerina called ‘Verity’ as suggested by a friend; I painted her today. I loved the sudden realisation I made that enable me to create her so quickly. Will be using same approach going forward.

I have other videos on my YouTube channel that show current physical paintings so check them out and subscribe too. Every little bit helps. I am having so much fun regardless.

I will ill speak to you soon. 🙂 B

Alice and The Cat Video Process – Art by Beatrice Ajayi

Alice & The Cat

Hi everyone, hope you all doing ok. I have been working on a variety of self directed projects. One of those projects I stumbled into. I decided to create some work in black and white sketchy style. It had been a while that I have done sketches as a focal point of my work. They are usually used as a stepping stool to colour work of late.

I sketched my first cutie and was inspire to create a series of Alice in wonderland sketchy drawings.
This is a link to the fourth in the series of work. You can find other process videos related to the Alice theme in my Youtube.com Channel under my name ‘Beatrice Ajayi’

You can view the process here: Alice & The Cat

Cat Balance – Beatrice Ajayi – Scottish Artist

Balancing Cat

Hello on this dry Wednesday. I have had a busy day planning strategies for my Business. I think it will involve some detailed thinking. I really am blessed with how far I have been able to achieve dreams, but there is still some more dreaming left.

I have been doing my usual research looking and reading and video watching on the tube for teaching on reaching more people who would really appreciate my work. Every artist has to think of this so I don’t feel awkward talking about it. It’s all part of running the buisness.

Outside of all the above I have been sketching and painting on my iPad and pen on paper. This cat digital painting is entitled ‘Cat Balancing’. You can view the process here: Cat Balance Video
